Sinopsis

Los Ángeles, 1972. Siete años después del asesinato de Malcolm X, 4 tras el asesinato del Dr. Martin Luther King, y siete años también desde los duros disturbios de Watts contra la población afroamericana, varios de los artistas integrantes del sello discográfico Stax se reunieron para organizar un concierto multitudinario, un anti-Woodstock que removiera y uniera la conciencia negra, una ocasión para celebrar el black-power.
